Husaberg TE300 | Reader's Ride

We talk to ADB reader Warrick Fraser about his Husaberg TE300.

WHAT Husaberg TE300
WHO Warrick Fraser
WHERE I GOT IT Second-hand, private sale
HOW MUCH $6300

WHY I BOUGHT IT
I was after something easier to ride on singletrack and technical stuff after selling my WR450 (2011), my mate loaned me his KTM 300 to help sway me towards purchasing a 300 two-stroke. It worked!

WHAT I DID TO IT
The ’Berg already had a lot of extra gear on it when I bought it – including a Scott steering damper, Steg Pegz, KTM PowerParts FMF exhaust system, Pivot Pegz and Force radiator guards – which is what attracted me to it. I have added the Force bashplate and graphics kit.

HOW DOES IT GO
Great power, easy to use on singletrack, nice and light and much less engine braking than the 450 I owned, making it, overall, an easier bike to ride in most types of dirt riding that I do. The suspension is unreal – the previous owner had the fork re-valved for an 80kg rider, which is perfect for me.\

SHOULD I BUY ONE
I’d definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to ride lots of singletrack and technical stuff, and for those that are tiring of their four-strokes or want something different. I’m converted.
