Australia’s Wil Ruprecht has impressed on the world stage after taking victory in the Enduro GP Juniors Class at the final round of Enduro GP last weekend in Rüdersdorf, Germany.
The young gun raced with Johansson MPE, which is the official Yamaha Official Team for Junior Enduro racing. The success of Ruprecht just goes to show the level of Enduro talent rising out of Australia.
Ruprecht has long been talked up as one of the great young prodigies in the Enduro game and is already a EJ and E1 Champion in the Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC).
Now he has made a huge impact on the world stage in the Enduro GP Juniors Class, bringing the winning streak of 2018 World Champion, Matteo Cavallo to an unexpected end on Saturday. Ruprecht shocked the world to take victory by an impressive 22 seconds.
The victory meaning, he joins Jérémy Joly in the history books of Wildcards being victorious in their debut event. Junior overall winner, Ruprecht also won the J1 category.
On day two, Ruprecht fought for the victory with Cavallo, but the pair made mistakes on the last lap and left the way free for Theo Espinasse to take the win.
Ruprecht commented on Social Media after the victory; “That was epic! Had a wicked time in Enduro GP Germany and bagged some awesome results. Huge thank you to Joakim Johansson for having me this weekend.”
