MXGP of Spain and MXGP of Portugal postponed

The FIM Motocross World Championship MXGP of Spain and MXGP of Portugal have been postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Originally scheduled on the 18-19 April, the MXGP of Spain will now be postponed to the 10–11 of October. Meanwhile, the MXGP of Portugal scheduled for 25-26 April will now be taking place on the 17–18 of October.

The decision to postpone both events to a later date in the year was made in agreement with the FIM, FIM Europe, the local authorities and both organizers, Last Lap as local organizer of the MXGP of Spain and Águeda Action Club – ACTIB as organiser of the MXGP of Portugal.

In its statement, the FIM Motocross World Championship promoters Infront Moto Racing announced; “Due to the international situation because of the coronavirus outbreak, Infront Moto Racing would like to focus on the health of all the people involved and to keep the risk of impact low for the 2020 MXGP Calendar schedule.”

The MXGP of Patagonia scheduled for next weekend has also been postponed until November 22.
