After six months of testing the Beta E-Kinder 16 Pro, it’s clear that this bike is a game-changer for young riders like Jax. We’ve put it through its paces at local BMX and pump tracks like Bare Creek Track, and it has proven to be an excellent training tool for Jaxon.
One of the standout features of the Beta E-Kinder 16 Pro is its lightweight and nimble design. This has made it significantly easier for Jaxon to learn on compared to his actual dirtbike. The reduced weight has allowed him to master the fundamentals of standing up and flowing with the jumps at the pump track. Over time, he has developed a keen sense of rhythm, which is crucial for riding his dirtbike
The skills Jax has learnt on the Beta E-Kinder 16 Pro have translated so well to his dirtbike. He now confidently handles his dirtbike over jumps and other obstacles like logs. His ability to stand up and adjust his body position has improved drastically.
Another aspect that has impressed me but also hurt the hip pocket is Jaxon’s newfound ability to skid sideways and get the feeling of drifting. The Beta E-Kinder 16 Pro’s lightness has made it easier for him to experiment with these techniques, which are often more challenging on heavier bikes.
However, the intense usage has taken its toll on the bike’s components. We’re now on our third set of tyres from all the skidding. Additionally, after some muddy rides, we had to replace the brake pads, again, so we’re currently on our fourth set. Despite these replacements, the maintenance has been relatively straightforward, with just lubing the chain and steering head and the benefits far outweigh these minor inconveniences.
The E-Kinder 16 Pro’s durability and performance have stood up to Jax flogging the crap out of it which as a new moto-dad, I’m learning is very convenient because maintenance is minimal!
