WHAT IS IT? 2024 KAWASAKI KX250

WHO? Neil Ellery

WHERE DID YOU BUY IT? Maroochydore Team Moto Kawasaki

HOW MUCH? $9500

WHY DID YOU BUY IT?

My son loves MX and really wanted to get into racing so I bought him the 2024 KX65 and decided to get a bike I could ride with him. I had a 2022 WR450 and it wasn’t suitable for the tracks I wanted to teach my son on. I l also love the look of the new Kawasaki and the feel of the 2024 KX250 is less bulky and lighter than the Yamaha.

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO IT?

I’ve kept my KX250 stock standard but I just added an FMF pipe to get a bit more power and, to be honest, to make it sound good and look good.

HOW DOES IT GO?

It tears up the tracks. I love the power and it’s so easy to ride and throw around – a lot easier to throw around than the WR450.

WOULD YOU RECOMMEND BUYING ONE?

I would highly recommend buying a KX250. Its price point is great and it suits most riders. I find the handling, light weight, feel and power makes any rider feel like they are a pro.
