YCF Australia has expanded its retro-inspired SUNDAY range with the arrival of the limited-edition SUNDAY X 187, powered by a Daytona Anima 190cc four-valve engine and priced at $5349 rideaway.

The new model follows the SUNDAY X 124 range launched earlier this year, but brings a significant increase in performance thanks to the Japanese-built Daytona engine.

The 187.2cc four-valve, single-cylinder Anima uses a 62mm bore and 62mm stroke and comes from Daytona’s racing engine range. Finished in black for the X 187, it replaces the smaller-capacity engine of the X 124 and is the headline change for the new model.

The engine isn’t the only upgrade. YCF has also fitted the X 187 with revised suspension, aluminium components, hydraulic disc brakes and a new red and white colour scheme.

SUNDAY X 187 features include:

  • Daytona Anima 187.2cc four-valve engine
  • 62mm bore and 62mm stroke
  • Gold aluminium rims
  • Compression-adjustable fork caps
  • ENGI rear shock
  • Aluminium swingarm
  • New white and red plastics and graphics
  • Red fork gaiters
  • Thick red seat
  • Hydraulic disc brakes

YCF says the SUNDAY X 187 will be produced in strictly limited numbers worldwide, with only a small allocation making its way to Australia.

The new model retains the old-school styling that defined the SUNDAY X 124 but adds substantially more engine and higher-spec running gear for riders wanting more from the platform.

The SUNDAY X 187 is available now through Australian YCF dealers.
