The provisional 2027 FIM Motocross World Championship calendar has been released, with 20 Grands Prix across four continents and Darwin confirmed to host the Australian round on 19 September.
The FIM and Infront Moto Racing have revealed the provisional 2027 MXGP calendar, with the championship set to kick off in Andalucia, Spain, on 28 February before wrapping up in Switzerland on 3 October.
Twenty Grands Prix will decide the MXGP and MX2 world titles, with rounds across Europe, South America, Asia and Australia.
Almonte will host the opening MXGP of Andalucia before the championship heads to Bariloche for the MXGP of Argentina on 14 March. Italy, Sardegna, Spain and Trentino follow before Shanghai hosts the MXGP of China on 2 May.
The European stretch includes Portugal, France, Latvia, Germany and Great Britain, with Foxhills again hosting the British GP on 27 June. After a July break, racing resumes at Loket in the Czech Republic before heading to the notoriously tough Lommel circuit in Belgium.
Sweden, the Netherlands and Türkiye kick off the run home before an as-yet-unannounced GP on 12 September and the MXGP of Australia at Darwin on 19 September.
Darwin will also play a major role in the six-round FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship, hosting the final round and deciding the 2027 WMX title.
The MXGP season concludes in Switzerland on 3 October before the world’s best riders head to Assen, Netherlands, for the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations on 10 October. Assen last hosted the Nations in 2019, when the Netherlands claimed victory on home soil.
Several venues remain to be confirmed, making the 2027 calendar provisional.
