The FIM and Hard Enduro Promotion LLC have confirmed a nine-round calendar for the 2027 Hard Enduro World Championship, adding one event to the 2026 schedule.
The championship will visit eight countries between April and October, beginning with the new Tong Hard Enduro in the United Kingdom on 17–18 April before concluding at Germany’s Getzen Rodeo on 23–24 October.
The addition of Tong Hard Enduro and a second Italian event are among the major changes, while established races including Extreme XL Lagares, Silver Kings, Forza Orza, Abestone, Hixpania and Sea to Sky remain on the calendar.
The new British opener will be organised by Plews Tyres in conjunction with Will Hoare, bringing the championship to a country that has produced leading hard enduro competitors including Billy Bolt, Mitch and Ashton Brightmore and Toby Shaw.
Italy will host two rounds, with Abestone Hard Enduro returning alongside a second event provisionally named Italian Hard Enduro. The venue and final name of the additional Italian round have yet to be announced.
The United States retains its place on the calendar through Silver Kings Hard Enduro, while Sweden’s Forza Orza returns for a second season after making its championship debut in 2026.
Spain’s Hixpania Hard Enduro, which hosted the 2026 season finale, moves away from the final position on the calendar, with Germany’s Getzen Rodeo taking over as the championship decider.
Hixpania is also expected to host the final round of the championship’s World Cup categories, while Portugal’s Extreme XL Lagares could become the opening round of the proposed Adventure World Cup, subject to FIM approval.
The championship will again feature two rounds outside Europe, with Silver Kings in the United States and Sea to Sky in Türkiye.
Championship Director Ross Whitehead said the nine-round format was designed to balance international expansion with the financial and logistical demands placed on teams and riders.
“Nine rounds keep the championship sustainable, and we have listened to the teams and riders, especially on the logistics and stress of travelling between continents,” Whitehead said.
“We continue to acknowledge our mistakes every year, and try our best to mitigate them to a point where everyone is happy, year in and year out.”
The 2027 calendar also confirms that the championship will again run without Australia’s Wildwood Rock Extreme Enduro, despite the event’s established reputation on the international hard enduro scene.

WHAT’S CHANGED FROM 2026?
The confirmed calendar introduces Tong Hard Enduro and Getzen Rodeo, while Wild Woods returns after its planned 2026 event was cancelled. France’s Alestrem and Lesotho’s Roof of Africa have been dropped.
Wild Woods Stone Extreme is now listed for Serre di Rapolano, near Siena, rather than Genoa, where the cancelled 2026 event had been planned.
There is also a significant change to the championship’s international footprint, with the series dropping its African round despite expanding from eight to nine races.
The championship has confirmed that Roof of Africa will not return in 2027 because of a disagreement with the local federation.
The Women’s, Senior and Youth World Cups will continue, alongside a dedicated four-stroke category, although the final regulations and eligible rounds remain to be confirmed.
Notably, Erzbergrodeo and Red Bull Romaniacs remain absent from the championship calendar.
