Nestled in the heart of North East Victoria, Chesney Vale Ride Park stands as a premier destination for motocross enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. Located just a 2.5-hour drive north of Melbourne, and approximately an hour from both Shepparton and Albury/Wodonga, the park offers a convenient and exhilarating escape for riders across the region.
Chesney Vale Ride Park caters to a wide spectrum of riders. The main motocross track is meticulously designed and maintained to challenge and excite everyone, from novices to seasoned professionals. For younger riders, the pee-wee track provides a safe and engaging environment to develop their skills and passion for the sport.
Understanding that each rider is unique, the park organises dedicated sessions throughout the day based on rider ability and bike capacity. This structured approach ensures that all riders, regardless of experience, can enjoy the tracks safely and to their fullest potential.
One of the standout features of Chesney Vale Ride Park is its accessibility. Riders are welcome to enjoy the facility without the need for any licenses or memberships. To ride, visitors simply need to check the up-to-date opening days on the park’s social media platforms, arrive at the track, find a parking spot and head to the sign-in area to complete the necessary paperwork.
The team at Chesney Vale Ride Park takes immense pride in the quality of their tracks. Regular grooming and watering ensure optimal riding conditions, enhancing both safety and enjoyment. Beyond the tracks, the family-friendly amenities include a canteen serving a variety of refreshments and a sandpit to keep younger children entertained.
Rider safety is a top priority at Chesney Vale Ride Park. While the park provides a secure environment, personal accident coverage is not included. Riders are strongly encouraged to obtain their own accident insurance before visiting. Various levels of coverage are available through the Motorcycling Victoria website or other providers.
Additionally, it is highly recommended that both riders and spectators hold ambulance memberships. In the event of an emergency requiring ambulance services, individuals without membership will be responsible for any associated costs.
The park is open every Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 3.30pm in the winter months, with reduced operating days due to changing conditions throughout the summer months.
No pets, (except for guide and therapy dogs), no quadbikes and no onsite capmping, but recommendations for nearby accommodation options can be provided upon request.
Photographers wishing to capture action shots must sign a waiver and sign-in sheet upon arrival. A high-visibility vest must be worn at all times while near the track. Crossing the track is not permitted, but photographers are welcome to move around the perimeter.
