There's been a lot of hype around Alta Motors and its Redshift MX after its racing debut at the 2016 Red Bull Straight Rhythm. Now the Californian based company has added an enduro bike to its range.
It’s good for three hours of riding, can recharge in 2.5 hours, has a top speed of 115km/h and boasts fully-adjustable WP suspension front and rear and Brembo brakes. But new technology comes at a cost and the Alta Redshift EX is $15,495 USD (MSRP).
The steep purchase price can be justified by the fact electric bikes required far less maintenance than their petrol burning cousins so you’d save money there, however, it would take several years to balance out.
At the moment, Alta Motors isn’t in Australia but that could all change in 2018. In the meantime, check out the Redshift EX in action.
