Red Bull KTM Factory Racing enjoyed a successful sixth round of the 2026 AMA Pro Motocross Championship at Southwick, with MX2 World Championship leader Sacha Coenen claiming a dominant overall victory in the 250MX class.

Making just his second AMA Pro Motocross appearance of the season, the 19-year-old Belgian topped qualifying before winning both motos aboard his KTM 250 SX-F Factory Edition. Coenen won the opening moto by more than 33 seconds before backing it up with another victory in Moto 2 despite suffering a heavy late-race crash.

The 1-1 scorecard gave Coenen his third AMA Pro Motocross overall win from just four race starts, although the Belgian will undergo further medical assessment on his shoulder following the Moto 2 crash.

Julien Beaumer also delivered a solid result for KTM, qualifying seventh before finishing fourth in Moto 1. After starting outside the top 20 in the second moto, the American charged through the field to finish fifth, securing fifth overall for the round and moving into a tie for third in the 250MX championship standings.

In the premier 450MX class, four-time world champion Jorge Prado continued his steady progress in the American series.

After qualifying second fastest behind teammate Lucas Coenen, Prado recovered from a difficult start in Moto 1 to finish fourth before taking third in Moto 2. His 4-3 finishes were enough for fourth overall, with the Spaniard remaining fourth in the championship after six rounds.

Lucas Coenen showed blistering pace early in the day by setting the fastest qualifying time, more than a second quicker than Prado, but his afternoon unravelled after a first-turn crash in Moto 1.

The Belgian mounted an impressive charge from near last to fourth before crashing again late in the race, resulting in a DNF. With Coenen leading the MXGP World Championship and due to return to Europe next weekend, KTM elected to withdraw him from Moto 2 as a precaution.

Southwick marked another successful weekend for KTM, highlighted by Sacha Coenen’s commanding 250MX clean sweep and another consistent top-five finish for Prado as the AMA Pro Motocross Championship heads to Spring Creek, Minnesota for round seven.
