AMA Supercross Anaheim 2 Race Report | News

Monster Energy Yamaha's Chad Reed scores his second podium finish in a row, while Red Bull KTM rider, Ryan Dungey extends his points lead with another win at Anaheim 2.

ADB columnist, Chad Reed has scored another podium finish at Anaheim 2 after placing second in the main behind Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey. Reedy got a great jump out of the gate and rode in second for most of the race, but the Yamaha rider couldn’t close the gap to Dungey, who cruised to his second main event win in a row.

Third place changed hands a few times over the course of the 20-lap main but it was Suzuki rider, Ken Roczen who would finish on the final step of the podium.

Australian rider Lawson Bopping put in a strong performance and rode his DPH Motorsports Yamaha to 18th in the main. Dungey leads the points, Reed is second, Jason Anderson third.

In his debut AMA Supercross appearance, Australia’s Luke Clout finish 14th in the 250 main. Fellow countryman, Hayden Mellross fished 17th, not a bad weekend for the aussie crew!

Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha’s Cooper Webb took his third straight win in the 250SX class, Rockstar Husqvarna rider Zach Osborne finished a close second in front of GEICO Honda’s Christian Craig in third.
