The hugely successful AUS-X Open will be making a return for 2016, inside Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena (formerly AllPhones) on November 12-13, 2016.

With last year’s event a complete sellout, fans have been urged to sign-up for pre sale ticket information, where they can also vote for the international rider they would most like to see compete at this year’s AUS-X Open.

Event director Adam Bailey, from AME Management, is excited for the 2016 event.

“It’s awesome to be bringing the AUS-X Open back to Sydney for another year!”

“It truly is a testament to the dedicated Supercross and FMX fans in Australia, and we can’t wait to deliver another incredible show.”

“We’re urging fans to sign up to the link because of how quickly last year sold out, and for what we have in store so far this year, we have no doubts that it’ll sell out even faster!”

The AUS-X Open event is one of the biggest action sports competitions in the Southern Hemisphere; combining an international Supercross racing event with a Freestyle Motocross (FMX) ‘Best Trick’ competition, that will feature some of the world’s best riders up against Australia’s best talent.

With the inaugural AUS-X Open deemed a huge success, the event will once again be teaming up with the NSW Government’s tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.
Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events and Minister for Sport, Stuart Ayres, said the 2016 AUS-X Open would be a highlight on the NSW Events Calendar.

“The AUS-X Open was a fantastic event in 2015, attracting almost 10,000 domestic and international overnight visitors to Western Sydney. I am pleased that it will be returning in November 2016, having once again been secured for the State by the NSW Government through its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.

The AUS-X Open promises to be even bigger and better this year, I look forward to seeing the world class line-up of riders who will be taking part.”

The AUS-X Open will also act as the Grand Final for the 2016 Australian Supercross Championship.
