AUSSIE UPDATE: AMA Pro Motocross Round 2 | News

A strong field of Aussie riders descended California's Fox Raceway for Round 2 of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, here is how they finished.

250 Class

Hunter Lawrence: Ninth (37-2)
“Cool weekend, Q1: P3, Q2: P4 first moto got off to a pretty good start and was sitting third and then unfortunately on the lap before the crash with another rider I could feel my bike losing compression and the motor was dying! A rock in the ground I had hit somehow broke the oil filter cap, leaving a hole that all the engine oil leaked out of. Finally stopping just on the downhill where the incident happened. Second moto, I got a good start with 37th gate pick and was able to come through from being outside the top 10 to first for two laps before washing the front end, which dropped me back to second. A massive thank you to my wicked team!”

Wilson Todd: 19th (29-14)
Devastated how my day turned out. This is my turn one crash that had my bike unrideable and left me super beat up for the rest of the day after been run over. The team is incredible and I didn’t get to provide them with the results they deserve! Can’t thank @tld_raceteam enough for the opportunity!

450 Class

Dean Ferris: 11th (10-13)
“I feel like I started the weekend solid, making improvements. First moto was pretty solid and had to dig pretty deep for that one. In the second moto, I got more comfortable with the settings and was pushing toward the front. I ended up having a crash but pushed as hard as I could. All in all we are making progress and will keep working toward improving.”
Todd Waters: 13th (16-11)
“Fox Raceway Round 2 13th overall. Moto 1 around 10th and got taken out by another rider in the first lap. Charging from 31st – 16th. Moto 2 come from 16th – 11th.”
