BETA & RUBEN CHADWICK LEAD AHEC CHAMPIONSHIP | Latest | News

Beta's Ruben Chadwick took 2nd place overall at RD 4 of the Australian Hard Enduro Championship and continues to lead the 2023 championship.

Last weekend saw Beta Motorcycles Australia hard enduro rider, Ruben Chadwick head to Hillston, NSW for RD 4 of the Australian Hard Enduro Championship (AHEC).

The first race on Saturday saw riders compete in a 1hr cross country prologue on a technical track with very dry, dusty, and rocky conditions which also featured an endurocross section. Chadwick took the lead early on in the race which enabled him to ride in clean air and fought hard to bring home the win on Saturday.

The weather took a turn on Sunday with rain falling throughout the day, turning the dry, dusty track into a very slippery and challenging course for all riders. Chadwick took the lead at the start through to some of the tighter checkpoints with the top four riders all fighting neck and neck for the top position. Ruben dropped a few positions towards the end of the race and finished in 4th place.

“I’m happy with the results from the weekend and really enjoyed the track on Saturday. The bike performed well and the track conditions on Saturday suited my style of riding. I was confident heading into Sunday but as the rain continued to fall, the track got more slippery, and I ended up losing a few positions in some of the more treacherous sections. Overall, I’m happy to come away with 2nd and retain my lead in the championship”. ”
