Knee surgery sidelines GASGAS Racing Team's Blake Fox for the remainder of the ProMX Championship

GASGAS Racing Team’s Blake Fox will unfortunately be sidelined from competition for the remainder of the 2022 ProMX Championship after sustaining season-ending knee injuries.

His injury was sustained while competing at a round of the Sunshine State MX Series in Toowoomba last weekend. Fox has no other option but to undergo surgery on a torn ACL and meniscus.

The 18-year-old will see a surgeon this week with the hope of being operated on as soon as possible to enable him to start rehabilitation.

Last year’s MX3 champion Fox has continued to build momentum in his rookie MX2 campaign, however, will be absent from the final rounds of ProMX.

Blake Fox: “It’s definitely disappointing. At this stage we aren’t entirely sure on recovery time, but I am going to see the surgeon and we will know more after that. We are looking to get into rehab in the next week or two and get the surgery done in that time frame, as soon as we possibly can. We will take it as it comes and hopefully we can get better sooner rather than later.”
