Billy Bolt claims SuperPole and three straight Prestige wins to extend unbeaten SuperEnduro run in Hungary

Billy Bolt continued his flawless start to the 2026 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship with another commanding performance at round four in Budapest, Hungary. Racing in front of a packed MVM Dome, the Husqvarna Factory Racing rider secured SuperPole before sweeping all three Prestige-class finals to extend his lead in the championship standings.

Bolt arrived in Budapest unbeaten and left having further strengthened his grip on the championship. After qualifying safely into SuperPole, the defending champion delivered a controlled, mistake-free lap to secure pole position, mastering the rock garden to take the win by over half a second. The result earned him maximum points and first gate pick for the night’s finals.

Prestige Final 1 ignited the crowd immediately. Jonny Walker grabbed the holeshot, but chaos in the rock garden saw several front-runners collide, allowing Stark Future’s Toby Martyn to emerge in the lead. Martyn used the clear track to open a significant advantage as Bolt recovered from an early setback that dropped him down the order. With the clock winding down, Martyn’s challenge ended with a crash in the rocks, handing the lead to Bolt, who capitalised to claim the opening race win. Martyn regrouped to secure a career-best second place, ahead of Mitch Brightmore.

The reverse-grid second final saw Fast Eddy Racing’s Harry Edmondson take the holeshot, while Walker faced an uphill battle after getting caught on the opening obstacle. Bolt methodically worked his way forward, moving into the lead on lap two and quickly stretching his advantage. From there, the Husqvarna rider was untouchable, crossing the line with a commanding nine-second margin over Brightmore, as Walker charged back to third.

Final 3 delivered one last twist. Brightmore launched out front, but Bolt initially controlled the race until a small error in the rock section brought the X-Grip Racing rider back into contention. With two laps remaining, Bolt closed the gap and executed a decisive block pass exiting the rocks to reclaim the lead. Holding his nerve to the finish, he secured his third win of the night and the overall victory.

Behind Bolt, Brightmore’s consistency earned him second overall — his best result of the season — while Walker completed an all-British Prestige podium in third. Eddie Karlsson narrowly edged out Stark Future teammate Martyn for fourth overall.

The Junior class again belonged to Germany’s Milan Schmüser, who claimed his fourth victory of the season after being pushed hard by Manuel Gómez, while Poland’s Wojtek Walczak continued his strong Youth Cup campaign with his second overall win of the year, extending his points lead.

With SuperPole, three Prestige race wins and the fastest lap, Bolt extended his advantage at the top of the championship standings to 61 points as the series heads to Serbia for round five on 21 February. With three rounds remaining, the battle behind him is tightening — but the man in red and white remains firmly in control.

Billy Bolt
“It’s been a great night here in Budapest, and as always, the fans have been amazing. The track had a nice flow to it, but honestly, I didn’t feel like I was the fastest guy out there today. So, to still come away with the overall win in those circumstances feels really good. I managed to put myself in the right positions and kept the mistakes to a minimum. On a track like this, just having a clean night is a win in itself. Mitch was riding well, especially in that last race – he’s had great speed all day, so the battle was on. What can I say? Three wins, another perfect night, I’m definitely not complaining.”
