Brodie Connolly has taken out the 2025 ProMX MX2 title. The top qualifier of the Pirelli MX2 division on the weekend was Noah Ferguson who ended his season on the highest-possible note by breaking through for his first overall win of the year.
The Queensland-based rider got the better of a spirited duel with newly-crowned Pirelli MX2 Class champion Brodie Connolly (Polyflor Honda Racing) to take a hard-fought win in the opening moto.
Connolly notched the holeshot, but Ferguson pushed the New Zealander throughout the opening laps, before the pair collided when two lines came together. Connolly came off second-best, while Ferguson charged to his first win of the year, beating Ryder Kingsford (Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha) by 10.85s, with NFAL Honda’s Alex Larwood in third.
Connolly and Byron Dennis (KTM Racing Team) finished the moto in P4 and P5.
Connolly bounced back to win the second MX2 moto of the event, pushing Ferguson wide to get the holeshot, and then controlling a handy gap to the finish. Kingsford finished 5.1 seconds behind, while Ferguson focused on a measured ride to claim his first MX2 round victory of the year. Dennis and Kaleb Barham (Kawasaki) took P4 and P5.
The final Pirelli MX2 Class round podium of 2025 was filled by Ferguson, Kingsford, and Connolly, as Brodie ended the year with 378pts to Kingsford’s 329 and Ferguson’s 304.
