CFMOTO has announced the upcoming arrival of its most advanced and powerful adventure‑touring motorcycle yet – the all-new MY26 CFMOTO 1000MT‑X. Unveiled globally at EICMA 2025, the 1000MT‑X marks a major evolution for the brand, entering the competitive big‑bore adventure segment with a premium, high-spec machine designed for serious long-distance and off-road exploration.

Arriving in Australia in late May 2026, the 1000MT‑X will launch at a competitive $18,990 Ride Away, setting a new benchmark for value in the large-capacity adventure category.

Engine and Drivetrain

At the heart of the 1000MT‑X is CFMOTO’s latest 946.2cc LC8c‑based parallel‑twin engine, marking the first time this next‑generation powerplant has been applied in an adventure‑motorcycle platform. Built on the newest evolution of the LC8c platform, this engine brings next‑generation performance and engineering to the adventure segment.

Producing 111hp and 105Nm, the 1000MT‑X delivers strong, flexible performance across open highways, remote backroads and rugged off‑road routes. The engine is tuned for real‑world adventure riding, maintaining over 90% of its peak torque between 5,500 and 8,000 rpm, supporting acceleration, loaded-touring capability, and drive on steep or technical terrain.

Engine refinement and durability are supported through the use of premium Japanese componentry, including NTN bearings and an FCC‑manufactured clutch assembly. Internally, the engine features ceramic‑coated cylinder bores, forged pistons, and fracture‑split connecting rods. These components reduce friction, enhance thermal stability, and provide strength under sustained loads.

Despite its performance, the engine remains lightweight. Weighing 56 kg, the all‑alloy case design contributes to the bike’s handling and balanced feel, whether navigating tight trails, long‑distance touring or riding fully loaded with luggage.

The platform has also undergone over 100,000 km of endurance testing, intended to ensure it withstands Australian adventure riding conditions — from desert heat and heavy dust to coastal humidity, corrugations and long‑range touring demands.

Chassis, Suspension & Braking

The 1000MT‑X is equipped with a selection of high-end components. Fully adjustable KYB suspension is fitted, offering 230mm front and 230mm rear travel (LS model: 190mm/190mm). The bike runs 21-inch front and 18-inch rear aerospace-grade wire‑spoke rims with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres. Braking is handled by a Brembo system featuring dual 320mm front discs and a 260mm rear disc. A Bosch 6-axis IMU supports cornering ABS, traction control and five adjustable ride modes.

Ergonomics and Rider Aids

With adventure touring in mind, the 1000MT‑X includes rider-focused comforts such as a 22.5-litre fuel tank delivering over 500km of range under mixed riding. An 8-inch full‑colour TFT touchscreen provides Bluetooth connectivity and an advanced vehicle data interface. Heated grips and a heated seat are included, along with cruise control and an adjustable windscreen. Ergonomics are designed for both seated and standing riding, matched to mixed terrain. Protection comes standard with a skid plate, handguards and a chain guard.

Colours & Model Variants

The standard model will be offered in Tactical Green and Aerolite Grey. The LS / Low Suspension variant will be offered in Aerolite Grey.

Accessory Packs

For the launch of the 1000MT‑X, CFMOTO will offer customers a choice between two introductory accessory packs. Customers may select the pack that best matches their riding application. This introductory offer is available until 30 June 2026.

Option #01, the Adventure Pack (valued at $1,989), includes a tall windshield, CFMOTO Alloy MT Luggage Kit in black, a CFMOTO Alloy MT Top Case Backrest, and a Side Case Bracket for the MT‑X.

Option #2, the Rally Pack (valued at $1,859), includes a dual‑stage foam air filter, an upper crash bar set, an alloy skid plate, a headlight guard, a wrap‑around handguard set, billet rally pegs in black, and a shortened billet clutch lever.
