Daniel McCoy Challenge Cup | News

Oakdale MCC is hosting a fund raising day on January 31 for injured Australian rider Daniel McCoy.

McCoy was injured in January 2016 racing the UK Arenacross series in Glasgow UK. As a result Daniel suffered a hit to the central part of the spinal region causing immediate paraplegia. Suffering dislocations to the T11 and T12 Vertebrae and a compression fracture causing most of the issue, Daniel had urgent surgery and is still hospitalised in the UK awaiting repatriation to Australia.

The rehabilitation process for Daniel needs to be back in Australia where the cost of bringing him back could very well exceed $100,000, not to mention the cost of continuing rehab required.

Event organisers have been swamped with support in the form of sporting motorcycle memorabilia, and Yamaha has donated a bike, all of which will be part of the auction and raffle on the day.

To confirm your attendance or for all donations for auction and raffle that will be held on that day please contact:
