Dean Ferris hospitalised after Conondale crash | News

Three-time MX Nationals Champion Dean Ferris is recovering in a Sunshine Coast hospital after seriously injuring himself in a crash while practising at Queensland's Conondale motocross track.

The incident happened on Saturday and following the crash, the Recover8 Raceline KTM rider was airlifted to hospital in a stable but serious condition and diagnosed with several fractured ribs and vertebrae.

In a statement issued by the team, it was confirmed Ferris will be held in the Sunshine Coast hospital before being transported to Brisbane this week for further scans and treatment.

The team plans to announce further updates accordingly regarding Deans progress as his recovery develops and more information becomes available.

Kevin Williams, Brand and Business Devleopment manager of Raceline Performance said; “During this time Dean and Renae will not be taking any calls to solely focus on Deans recovery and we will release more information to the public accordingly once it becomes available to us.”

The Kyogle-based rider was practising for the fourth and final round of the Sunshine State Motocross Series scheduled for this weekend in Toowoomba following back-to-back wins at the second and third round, he did not race round one.
