Ducati has officially revealed its new 450cc enduro motorcycle, the Desmo450 Enduro, at the 2025 EICMA show in Milan. The model marks the Italian manufacturer’s entry into the modern enduro segment and follows the launch of the Desmo 450 motocross bike earlier in the year.

Specifications
The Desmo450 Enduro is powered by a 449.6cc four-stroke single-cylinder engine using Ducati’s desmodromic valve system. It features a six-speed gearbox, an 8.5-litre transparent plastic fuel tank, and an 18-inch rear wheel paired with a 21-inch front. Suspension is handled by fully adjustable 49mm Showa forks with Kashima coating and a fully adjustable rear shock.
The bike shown in Milan is a pre-production model, with Ducati confirming that a fully homologated version is planned for release in mid-2026.

Design and Components
One of the key challenges Ducati engineers faced was fitting a larger fuel tank while maintaining the bodywork and proportions of the motocross model. The solution is a transparent plastic tank that integrates neatly with the bike’s design.
The Desmo 450 Enduro retains Ducati’s high build quality, with premium componentry and finishes carried over from its motocross sibling. The display bike also featured a comprehensive electronics package similar to that of the Desmo 450 MX, with selectable engine maps and traction control.

Development Notes
The pre-production unit does not include a cooling fan, although this may change before the final version is released. The smaller fuel tank capacity suggests the bike is designed primarily for competition and shorter enduro stages rather than long-distance riding.
An additional XC variant is expected to follow, sharing many features with the MX version but fitted with an 18-inch rear wheel and larger tank.

Outlook
The Desmo 450 Enduro represents Ducati’s first dedicated modern enduro platform. With its six-speed gearbox, high-end suspension, and compact chassis, the model is positioned to compete directly with established 450cc enduro machines from KTM, Husqvarna, and Beta.
Further technical details, pricing, and availability will be announced closer to its official production release.
