While Ducati’s full model line-up was on display at the Ducati 2024 Premiere Event Series, one model - the Ducati DesertX Rally - took our fancy.
Ducati Australia, in partnership with legendary Italian tyre manufacturer Pirelli, has completed an east coast tour of the Ducati 2024 Premiere Event Series, where the Italian brand unveiled for the first time the 2024 model range, including the very first examples in the country of four new models, flown-in directly from Europe especially for the event series with the DesertX Rally headlining the show.
Combining Italian style and hospitality, the Ducati 2024 Premiere Event Series has proved to be an unforgettable night for guests in Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland, as the brand hosted Ducatisti, Ducati dealers, media, and special guests to share the full 2024 Ducati range, pulling the covers off four highly-anticipated new models to go on-sale in Australia and New Zealand this year: the Multistrada V4 RS, Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour, DesertX Rally, and the Hypermotard 698 Mono.
In addition, Ducati 2024 Premiere guests in VIC, NSW, and QLD were among the first in Australia to see Ducati’s new fashion collection, with a catwalk preview of this year’s range at each of the events.
The Ducati 2024 Premiere Event Series began its east coast tour in South Melbourne before moving to the Sydney CBD, followed by Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.
Ducati Australia and New Zealand Head of Marketing, Ms. Alana Baratto, was excited to reveal Ducati’s 2024 plans with Premiere guests. “2024 is shaping up to be one of Ducati’s biggest years in Australia, with more models than ever before, an expanding dealer network, and more client experience events for Ducatisti throughout Australia and New Zealand to engage with,” Ms. Baratto said.
“The Ducati 2024 Premiere Event Series is a chance for us to give the expanded Ducati family a taste of what’s to come with our exciting 2024 model and clothing range.”

DesertX Rally
From the DesertX, the first Ducati equipped with a 21-inch front rim and 18-inch rear, comes the new DesertX Rally model, designed and developed for ‘adventouring’ and rally lovers. It is characterised by the best race-bred components: the DesertX Rally adopts high-quality components that are both specialised and effective in off-road use and are as sophisticated as those found on all Ducatis. The high front mudguard guarantees usability even in particularly difficult ground conditions, while the Kayaba suspension system, with increased travel, includes a closed cartridge fork and shock absorber with a larger piston, derived from motocross, allowing the rider to overcome any obstacle. Additionally, the new central-spoked wheels, with sizes and characteristics specific to off-road racing, make the Rally an unstoppable motorbike on any type of terrain.
