EnduroCross Announces Six 2018 Events – Alta electric to compete | News

The 2018 AMA EnduroCross Series will kick off the first of six rounds on August 25th in Prescott Valley, Arizona with Alta Motors confirming their attendance.

Longtime rivals, FMF KTM-sponsored rider Cody Webb and Rockstar Husqvarna-sponsored rider Colton Haaker will face off again on the track, as Webb enters the series as this year’s favorite to win. Webb won his third EnduroCross championship in 2017, and last month earned a FIM SuperEnduro World Championship. Haaker, the 2016 AMA EnduroCross champion, aims to reclaim the EnduroCross crown this year.

Webb and Haaker are far from 2018’s only contenders: SRT’s Trystan Hart was 2017’s runner-up, Ty Tremaine finished the series third in 2016 and 2017, and this year will be riding an Alta Motors Electric motorcycle. Other competitors to watch include Noah Kepple, sponsored by GasGas, and Cooper Abbott, son of off-road legend Destry. Fans can’t forget SRT’s Kyle Redmond, Cory Graffunder, GasGas’ Geoff Aaron and Beta’s Max Gerston.

Round two will take place in conjunction with the widely popular Sand Sports Super Show at the Orange County Convention Center in Costa Mesa, California. Two great events at one venue will make for one epic action sports weekend for fans.

Round three will be held at the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center in Nevada, another strong off-road motorcycle and powersports community along the tour. This event attracted a strong crowd as a first-time race last season.

The National Western Events Center in Denver, Colorado will host round four. This arena has been part of the series since 2007 and is a favorite among the riders.

The series will travel to the Pacific Northwest for round five. The XFINITY Arena in Everett, Washington is known for its soft soil, creating an even more challenging and exciting course. This event has been a consistent sell-out for years.

For the first time, the season will wrap up in Nampa, Idaho, just outside of Boise. The Ford Idaho Center’s huge arena floor will make for a great course to decide the championships.

In addition to the Super EnduroCross (Pro) class, the EnduroCross series will again include Open Amateur, Vet 35+, TrialsCross and Women’s classes. The main events for each of the classes will compete during the evening performance when the stands are packed with fans.
