Triumph Factory Racing’s Guillem Farres has rounded out his MX2 World Championship-winning season with a stunning MX2 class victory at the 2026 FIM Motocross of Nations (MXON). Competing for Team Spain, who ultimately placed second overall, Farres was the first MX2 rider home in both of his races to sign off the year in style. Camden McLellan was also impressive, finishing as runner-up in the MX2 class behind Farres as Team South Africa placed 15th overall.

Two weeks on from winning the 2026 FIM MX2 Motocross World Championship, Farres headed to Ernée in France focused on ending the season on a high as part of Team Spain. Qualifying fourth marked a strong start to the weekend for the Spaniard, who headed to the line for his first race full of confidence.

In the opening MXGP/MX2 race, the TF 250-X rider started just inside the top 10 and immediately worked his way towards the front. By the end of the opening lap, he was up to fourth and he held this position for the rest of the moto, delivering a largely untroubled and mistake-free ride.

Farres’ second race was eerily similar to his first. Moving into fourth early on, he maintained his strong pace for the entire moto, only losing one place to Liam Everts, who was on a 450cc machine, in the closing stages. Finishing fifth was another exceptional result for Guillem, who once again crossed the line as the first MX2 rider on the day to secure a perfect 1-1 class result. Together with his teammates Jorge Prado and Francisco Garcia, Farres’ performance undeniably helped Team Spain to an impressive runner-up finish.

McLellan was also focused on challenging for the MX2 class victory in France. Frustratingly, he was unable to match the starts of Farres and was forced to fight forward in both races, ultimately finishing seventh and eighth in the combined classifications for a 2-3 class result. On the day, he finished second in class, joining his teammate on the podium – a familiar sight seen throughout the 2026 season.

In the Open class, Team Great Britain’s Ben Watson finished fifth overall aboard the TF 450-X, while Team Sweden’s Alvin Östlund placed ninth.

The 80th edition of the FIM Motocross of Nations will take place in Assen, The Netherlands, next year over the weekend of October 9-10.

Guillem Farres – Team Spain

“It’s been a really good weekend here in Ernée. Sunday was really positive. In the first moto, I got off to a decent start and made my way up to fourth. The second moto was a similar story and I finished fifth, so two really solid results. To finish second overall with Team Spain and stand on the podium is a great way to end the weekend. I’m really proud of my teammates and really happy with what we achieved together.”

Camden McLellan – Team South Africa

“Sunday was pretty positive. I was happy with my riding and had two decent starts. Obviously, it’s not easy when you’re up against the 450s, but by my standards the starts were good and I put together two strong races. In the first one I was closer to the front from the beginning and came home as the second MX2 rider behind Guillem. In the second race I was pretty buried in the pack, but I came through really well and was happy with my riding, the positions I made up, and just the feeling in general. To finish second overall in MX2 behind Guillem is a nice way to close out the season. It’s been an awesome year, so I’m really happy to end it like this.”

Vincent Bereni – Triumph Factory Racing Team Manager

“It’s great to end the season at the Motocross of Nations in France. It’s such a big event, and after everything the boys achieved in the MX2 World Championship, finishing first and second, it was important for them to stay focused and finish the year strongly. Nations is a different kind of race because you’re working with your national team, but we still applied the same approach that we do every weekend. I’m really happy with both riders. They did an amazing job and once again showed the level they’ve been riding at all season. Guillem won the MX2 class and Camden finished second, so to take another MX2 victory for Triumph at the Motocross of Nations is a big achievement and a great way to end an incredible season. Now it’s time to get back to work. For us, 2027 starts tomorrow.”
