There was controversy during the MXGP Qualifying at the MXGP of France when Red Bull KTM's Jeffrey Herlings' gate failed to drop.
Officials called a restart after two laps and Herlings picked a different gate for the restart. Second time around Herlings got away clean and would finish qualifying in third.
