Hunter Lawrence sidelined with collarbone injury | News

Hunter Lawrence has revealed he won't be lining up for Round 1 of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross 250SX East Coast Championship due to a collarbone injury.

The ADB columnist revealed in his most recent column in ADB that he shattered his collarbone a couple months ago during a practice crash but the injury went undiagnosed for three weeks! This meant the bone was unable to be plated and Lawrence would have to let it heal the old fashioned way. Check out the latest issue of ADB for the full story!

Now one week out from the opening round of the 250SX East Coast Championship, the Queenslander has revealed the devastating news he won’t be racing.

“Absolutely heartbroken to say the least guys. I won’t be lining up at Round 1 this weekend,” Lawrence said. “Some of you know a few months back I had a collarbone injury that I have now re-injured. And it isn’t in a condition where I am able to plate it. A misfortunate crash and part of the sport. Will do everything I can like always to get back to 100%. I want to thank my amazing Honda team and supporting sponsors for all their great support. And a massive shoutout to all of the Aussie fans that were behind me and following along. Super bummed, but with the Aussie grit and determination I’ll be back soon,” Lawrence finished.
