Jed Beaton injury update | News

F&H Kawasaki Racing Team has confirmed Jed Beaton has broken his left tibia, fibula and right ankle as well as a number of ribs from his crash in Race 2 of the MXGP of Great Britain.

The Tasmanian local was looking at a top-10 overall finish after placing eighth in Race 1 but a crash on Lap 2 on Race 2 put an end to his weekend and his 2018 MX2 campaign.

Beaton went in for surgery Monday 4 June 4 after which he will travel to the Netherlands as soon as possible to recover.

The 20-year-old climbed to fifth in the MX2 Championship standings before the crash with his best result a third in Portugal.
