Jett Lawrence suffers broken collarbone in A2 crash | News

GEICO Honda rider Jett Lawrence has suffered a broken collarbone from his crash at Round 3 of the AMA Supercross Championship, Anaheim 2.

The 16-year-old from Queensland was one lap away from securing his first AMA Supercross 250SX Main Event win when a battle with defending champ, Yamaha’s Dylan Ferrandis, heated up.

Lawrence and Ferrandis were going ‘bar-to-‘bar through the final whoops section when the Honda rider was bucked from his machine and slammed into the face of the next jump. The impact broke Lawrence’s collarbone. GEICO Honda has not yet confirmed how long Jett could be off the bike but young bones heal quickly and once plated, he could be back on the bike within a few weeks.

On Instagram Jett wrote, “No words really guys! “I’ll never settle for second and will always leave everything out on the track. Lucky to only have a broken collarbone. We will get it all sorted tomorrow and get back to the races ASAP.”
