KTM Junior Racing Team riders delivered a series of standout performances throughout a week of intense competition at the 2025 KTM Australian Junior Motocross Championship (AJMX) in Gillman, South Australia, capturing multiple overall podium finishes across a range of classes. The highlights came courtesy of KTM rider Kyle Harvey’s runner-up finish in the 250cc 13-U15 Years championship at the 2025 AJMX, Ollie Birkitt’s second-place in the 85cc 12-U14 Years, and Cooper Ford’s P3 overall in the 125cc 15-U17 Years division.
Harvey was a standout throughout the week, showcasing speed and consistency to secure P2 overall in the 250cc category on his KTM 250 SX-F. He also impressed in the 125cc 13-U15 Years division, charging to third overall over three competitive finals.
Birkitt established himself as a front-runner early after qualifying in P1, before racing his KTM 85 SX to runner-up honours with a 4-1-1 scorecard in the 85cc 12-U14 Years championship. The Western Australian also contested the 125cc 13-U15 Years class, finishing a strong fourth overall in an ultra-competitive field.
Tasmania’s Cooper Ford added to the podium tally, landing P3 overall in the 125cc 15-U17 Years championship with a consistent effort on his KTM 125 SX. He also lined up in the 250cc 15yrs category, powering his KTM 250 SX-F to a top-12 finish.
Queenslander Nate Perrett delivered another solid campaign for the KTM Junior Racing Team, placing fifth in the 85cc 12-U14 Years class and seventh in the 125cc 13-U15 Years championship after a hard-fought week of competition.
Kyle Blunden, KTM Group Australia Motorsport Manager: “What an incredible event the KTM Australian Junior Motocross Championship at Gillman turned out to be. The level of racing and the depth across every class was something I haven’t seen quite like this before – it was really impressive. For the KTM Junior Racing Team, it was a great week with some outstanding results. Unfortunately, we just fell short in a few of the classes we were competing in, but I’m genuinely proud of all our riders for showing up with their A-game. There’s no doubt the level of talent on display was incredible. Congratulations to all the championship place-getters and everyone involved in putting on such a great week of racing.”
Congratulations also go to KTM 65 SX-mounted racers Mason Ezergailis and Nate Forwood, who were crowned 65cc 10-U12 Years and 65cc 7-U10 Years Australian champions at the conclusion of race-week.
