Jett and Hunter to light up Marvel Stadium for 10th‑anniversary AUSX Open showdown this weekend

The Boost Mobile AUSX Open Melbourne roars back into Marvel Stadium this Saturday, 22 November, for its 10th anniversary celebration, bringing the world’s best Supercross talent to Australia’s biggest stage. Fresh from a record-breaking year, the event doubles as Round 4 of the Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship and promises a full-throttle night of racing, FMX, music and stadium-sized entertainment.

Headlining once again are Australia’s own Jett and Hunter Lawrence, the world number one and two who arrive home on a wave of dominance. The brothers have ruled the SuperMotocross World Championship and helped secure back-to-back Motocross of Nations victories, cementing Australia at the top of global motocross and supercross. Their return to Marvel Stadium is set to ignite the largest Supercross crowd outside the USA, with fans packing the stands to see the HRC Honda duo go bar-to-bar on home soil.

They won’t have it easy. In the premier SX1 class, Scotland’s Dean Wilson leads a stacked international and local field that includes multi-time French champion Cedric Soubeyras, American hard charger Phil Nicoletti and Sydney’s Luke Clout. International stars Adam Cianciarulo and Justin Brayton will also descend on Melbourne, lending their expertise to the live broadcast and in-stadium commentary to bring fans even closer to the action. The SX2 class is equally loaded, with a deep roster of emerging talent and proven race-winners sharpening their elbows for the night show.

All of it unfolds on a purpose-built battleground carved from 6,500 tonnes of dirt hauled into Marvel Stadium. It takes 200 truckloads, 30 hours of construction, 3,750 railway sleepers and 4,200 steel beams to transform the venue into the most technical Supercross track in the country, a high-speed maze of rhythm lanes, whoops and big leaps designed to reward precision and punish mistakes. It’s the kind of stage where reputations are made in a single lap and championships can turn in a heartbeat.

Beyond SX1 and SX2, the program showcases the full funnel of Australian Supercross talent. The SX3 category will put the sport’s future front and centre, while the 12–15-year-old 85cc ranks and the Yamaha 65cc Cup for the youngest chargers deliver some of the most passionate, elbows-out racing of the night. For many fans, these classes become instant favourites, as tomorrow’s stars soak up the lights and pressure of a world-class stadium event.

The show doesn’t stop when the gate drops. Expect a heavy dose of freestyle fireworks, with X Games medallists Rob Adelberg, Harry Bink and Cam Sinclair unleashing a barrage of whips, flips and gravity-bending combos during an all-out FMX jam. Under Marvel’s lights, the Best Whip and Best Trick showdowns always deliver those jaw-on-the-floor moments, the kind that get replayed for days. Add live music, pyrotechnics and immersive fan activations inside and outside the stadium, and the AUSX Open becomes more than a race—it’s one of Australian sport’s great entertainment spectacles.

“We’re incredibly proud to be bringing the biggest ever Boost Mobile AUSX Open event to Marvel Stadium for our 10th anniversary,” says Kelly Bailey, Director of AUSX Events. “This year is a celebration of all things Supercross and a tribute to Australia’s immense success on the world stage. It’s going to be an incredible night of fun and entertainment for everyone.”

With more than 40,000 fans expected, the atmosphere will be electric from the moment gates open. Fan-focused experiences run across both Friday and Saturday, including meet-and-greets, rider signings, merchandise, surprise appearances and activations that bring you face-to-face with the sport’s biggest names. Arrive early for the Pit Party to check out the race rigs, soak up the sights and sounds, and lock in autographs before the night show explodes into life.
