I know I said last month that we would be fitting a bunch of GYTR parts to the 2026 Yamaha YZ450F this month, but unfortunately that has been halted due to the timeframe for sorting parts being blown out a little further than we had hoped. Initially, we got a load of GYTR parts, but there were still a few bits and pieces trickling in from backorder. It never ended up being such a big deal because, while we waited for some of the GYTR parts to come off backorder, we also sourced a Pro Circuit exhaust system, just the same as the ones you see the CDR boys running here in Australia on Jed Beaton and Aaron Tanti’s bikes.
To go with all these trick bits and pieces, we have also managed to source brake and clutch lines from Goodridge. Now, this started as a conversation and turned into something a whole lot more. Goodridge has the ability to make custom brake and clutch lines and actually mentioned to us that they were making different-size internal diameter lines to customise the brake and clutch feel for certain riders on different teams here in Australia. This got us thinking, as we find this kind of information pretty cool, so we are going to test this out over the coming months and give you guys a full rundown on what Goodridge can make, exactly what that does, and how it changes or alters the feel of your brake and clutch so you can make a better-informed decision on what brake and clutch lines to run.
To go along with all these trick and fancy parts, we have also been on the blower to Kustom MX Graphics, and they are going to hook us up with a CDR replica sticker kit so we can make this thing look like it belongs underneath the awning of the CDR race truck. Once we have all the parts and items in our possession, we will get together, shoot the build, and bring it to you guys to froth over.
We think this is pretty cool, and we are exceptionally excited for it—just as much as we think you guys are. So hang in there for another few weeks for us, and we will be sure to make sure it’s all worth the wait.
