Mathias Bellino Injury Update | Latest

Following the news an injury had sidelined Mathias Bellino from the opening round of the 2017 EnduroGP World Championship, the French rider has updated his fans on the extent of his injuries.

The Husqvarna rider fell on Thursday morning during an official pre-race shake down ride with his team mates. Landing heavily on his left shoulder Mathias was immediately taken to hospital, where it was confirmed that his injuries would not allow him to compete in the GP of Finland.

In an Instagram post to his fans, Bellino wrote;

You’ve probably more or less heard about the bad news … I just wanted to add a little more detail.

I had a massive crash on a rock yesterday trying out my race bike.

I have got a bad broken scapula in a few pieces, 3 fractured ribs and a few lung contusions.

I do not hide from you that I was in serious pain yesterday, it was a tough day … Plus the fact that the morale is obviously in the same condition as my scapula …

I just wanted to apologize to you all, but also be reassured that I will be back even stronger, as I have already done it in 2015.

Je suis tombé lourdement sur un rocher hier en essayant ma moto de course, resultats des courses: omoplate gauche brisée en plusieurs morceaux, 3 côtes fracturées et quelques contusions au poumon. En esperant que les ligaments de l’epaule n’ont rien.
