Max Fricke Suffers Two Neck Fractures After Vetlanda Crash | Latest

World Under-21 champion Max Fricke is set for a break from racing after suffering two neck fractures in Vetlanda early this week.

The Australian crashed with SGP star Martin Vaculik in Vetlanda’s 61-28 triumph last night, with the Slovak rider suffering gashes to his left hand, but no broken bones.

He’s spoken with Mark Lemon extensively today and is heading to Gerona to seek specialist advise and receive treatment immediately on the injury. Fingers crossed for a speedy return.

We are all hoping for a speedy recovery.

Meanwhile, Vaculik posted an update on Instagram, confirming he will also be taking medical advice.

His first post on Tuesday night said: “Nothing broken thank God. Just a few days off and come back to race again. Thank you guys for nice messages.”

He added this morning: “Good morning my friends, I feel ok this morning. Now flying home and later today visit my doctor and start work on my comeback #backsoon.”
