James Moore has produced his best Hard Enduro World Championship performance of 2026 with a strong weekend at the Abestone Hard Enduro in Italy.
The Beta rider kicked things off with third in Saturday’s prologue before charging to second in the sprint race, setting himself up for a shot at the podium in Sunday’s main event.
Moore remained in the fight at the front throughout the demanding main race but eventually crossed the line fourth, collecting valuable points towards the Junior standings.
“It was my best race of the season, a result I’m really proud of,” Moore said. “I felt comfortable on the bike and battled at the front for a podium spot throughout the race.”
Beta teammate Alfredo Gómez endured a tougher weekend as he continued to battle a posterior cruciate ligament injury suffered in Sweden. The Spaniard finished 12th and 11th across the weekend but has confirmed he will now spend time on the sidelines to recover.
Sandra Gómez also put Beta on the podium with third in Saturday’s Silver class before finishing fifth on Sunday, while Thomas Scales recorded eighth-place finishes on both days.
