We’ve been running the EcoFlow Delta Pro 3 through its paces for a few months now and can confidently say it’s a beast. IT’s not just a camping power station, it’s basically your house power in a box. With a massive 4kWh capacity and the ability to expand up to 48kWh (if you’re running a small village), the Delta Pro 3 is a bloody monster and can charge big-ticket items like our Stark VARG or the kids’ RFN dirt bikes.
We started out skeptical. Could it really replace a petrol generator for multi-day camping missions? But after charging both kids’ RFNs four times, boiling kettles, running computers and camera gear, and still having juice left in the tank, we’re believers. And all that without the noise or fuel stench of a traditional gennie. It’s eerily silent, totally efficient, and with zero setup drama. You can even pair it with the EcoFlow app and to monitor power flow, tweak charge settings, and check runtime.
One of the biggest drawcards is just how capable this thing is. With a continuous 4000W output (and a 6000W X-Boost mode), it can run everything short of an arc welder. The multiple AC ports (including 240V sockets), USB-A, USB-C, Anderson plug and 12V outputs cover just about any device or charger. It’s got smart battery tech, 4000+ cycle life on the LiFePO4 cells, and a 10ms UPS mode, in case you’re using it as backup power for home. Which, to be honest, is totally viable.
The only real downside? It’s massive. At 51.5kg, you’re not swinging it into the tray with one arm. It’s heavy enough that you’ll want a dedicated spot for it in the van or trailer, and those sleek chimney plastic side panels? They look great, but one scratch and it’ll cry like a Tesla owner at a gravel carpark. So far, we’ve managed to keep ours scuff-free, but we’re being precious with it.
Still, for raw power, zero emissions, and peace of mind, the Delta Pro 3 is next level. If you’re serious about remote missions or replacing a fuel generator, this is the best electric alternative we’ve tested. Just don’t forget your trolley. And it’s bloody expensive.
