We know, we know… testing a heated jacket right as we roll into Aussie summer makes about as much sense as fitting gummy tyres to go riding at Finke in February. But when Milwaukee drops a runout special at the end of winter, you buy now and sweat later. So here we are, sweating bullets in the name of product testing and future comfort with he Milwaukee M12 Heated Jacket.

First impressions? It looks sharp. You could wear it to a jobsite, a campfire, or dinner at the pub and still pass the vibe check. It’s not bulky or awkward like some heated gear – just solid, stylish, and built to cop a flogging. The warmth is instant and evenly spread, with the HEXON Heat Technology™ reaching full toastiness in under two minutes. Controls are easy, and the rechargeable battery tucks away neatly. The fact it doubles as a USB-C power bank is genius – warms your body and charges your phone.

We’ll be honest – we haven’t had enough cold mornings yet to drain the battery, so longevity’s still an unknown. And we’re curious how that battery hump at the back will feel during long drives or while sitting around in the camp chair. Comfort-wise it’s spot on so far, but we’ll reserve full judgment until it’s been properly tested in the elements (not sweating buckets in 30-degree heat).

A promising start for Milwaukee’s latest heated jacket. It looks good enough for everyday wear, heats fast, and feels built to last. The tech is smart, the fit is spot-on, and it could become a winter staple… if we can just survive summer first. Proper review to come once the mercury drops – stay tuned.
