Oakley’s Airbrake has been around for years now but it is still a top-tier goggle. I have the Oakley Airbrake MTB goggles and I love it. The triple-layer face foam is super comfortable, the goggle sits perfectly on my face and well inside the goggle port of my helmet, and the triple strip of silicone on the inside of the trap keeps the strap in place against my helmet.

The first of two things I love most about this goggle so far is the venting. This is the MTB version of the Airbrake which uses a cross-hatching mesh rather than foam between the face foam and the main goggle frame. This allows for seriously good venting and no fogging. It’s not good in really dusty conditions, as it obviously allows dust to enter the inside of the goggle. I use Oakley O-Frame goggles when it’s dusty.

The other thing I love about the Oakley Airbrake is the Prizm low-light lens. The clarity of vision is incredible and the field of vision is just as good. Oakley’s switch lock system makes changing the lens so easy and makes cleaning the goggle almost a pleasure. It’s a smart design that allows fast and easy lens removal and installation. A very comfortable and very functional goggle.
