Mobius aren’t new to the brace market, having produced their wrist brace with the continuous cable routing system for over a decade. The X8 knee brace uses the same system, bringing something new to the knee brace world. We’ve been testing these braces for several months, including through a few crashes, to see how they hold up in real conditions.

We Liked

Comfortable – The Mobius knee braces are well-shaped with no awkward edges or pressure points. Nothing digs in or rubs uncomfortably against the leg.

Easy to Fit – The straps are numbered, so you know the order to tighten them. The Velcro and adjustment buckle are straightforward and quick to use.

Strong – After taking a few big hits, I can confidently say they’ve saved me more than once. The brace wraps around the knee fully, leaving no exposed spots for direct impact.

No Slippage – Some braces tend to slip down the leg, but the Mobius braces are contoured properly and stay in place without shifting.

Adjustment – The dial can be reached and tightened through your pants without removing them. As the braces settle during the day, an extra click or two keeps them snug, avoiding the need to stop and strip down.

We Didn’t Like

Air Flow – The only downside is ventilation. The braces cover the front of the leg and knee completely, which provides maximum protection but limits airflow.

Verdict

The Mobius X8 knee braces are a solid mid-priced option offering strong protection and reliable durability. The hinges, straps, and adjustment buckle are all high quality and have shown no issues. After months of use and a few crashes, they’ve held up well with no injuries to report.
