Ken Roczen and Cole Davies have continued their winning form at the 2026 Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship, claiming dominant victories at the AUSX Open in Geelong in front of more than 20,000 spectators.

The third round of the championship marked the first time the AUSX Open had visited GMHBA Stadium in its 11-year history, attracting a strong international field that included Roczen, Davies, Jo Shimoda and Justin Barcia.

Roczen, the reigning Monster Energy Supercross 450SX Champion, was unbeaten across the three SX1 finals, while New Zealand’s Davies, the reigning 250SX East Champion, produced another clean sweep in SX2.

Despite their victories, neither rider leads the AUSX Championship standings, with Christian Craig retaining the SX1 lead and Cameron McAdoo holding a narrow advantage in SX2.

ROCZEN UNBEATEN AS CRAIG EXTENDS SX1 LEAD

Craig set the early pace in SX1 qualifying aboard his Quad Lock Honda, recording a fastest lap of 57.114 seconds to edge Roczen by just 0.130 seconds.

Barcia qualified third fastest aboard his Pipes Motorsports Group machine, while Jed Beaton was the leading Australian in fourth for Monster Energy CDR Yamaha.

Craig and Roczen then split the SX1 heat race victories before the leading riders returned to the track for Superpole, which determined their gate selection for the finals.

Roczen turned the tables on Craig in Superpole to claim the fastest time, with Craig second and Shimoda third.

Barcia finished fourth, followed by Honda Racing’s Austin Politelli in fifth and Monster Energy CDR Yamaha’s Aaron Tanti in sixth.

When the three SX1 finals got underway, Roczen took control of the event, winning the opening two races before completing the sweep with another commanding performance in the final.

The German crossed the line 13.272 seconds clear in Final 3, securing his second consecutive AUSX overall victory following his win in Auckland.

Craig was unable to match Roczen’s race-winning speed but delivered another consistent performance, finishing second in all three finals to claim second overall.

Shimoda completed the SX1 podium with three fourth-place finishes, while the remaining international and Australian riders fought for positions behind the leading trio.

Despite Roczen’s perfect night, Craig extended his championship lead and now sits on 182 points after three rounds.

Roczen moves to second in the standings with 150 points, while Australian Luke Clout remains third on 147.

With two rounds remaining, Craig holds a 32-point advantage over Roczen, although the German has established himself as the rider to beat following consecutive overall victories.

DAVIES SWEEPS SX2 AS CHAMPIONSHIP BATTLE TIGHTENS

Cole Davies continued his dominant Australian campaign in SX2, winning all three finals for the second consecutive round aboard his Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing machine.

The New Zealander was fastest from the outset, securing pole position with a 58.976-second qualifying lap ahead of Max Anstie and Lux Turner.

Davies and Anstie then claimed the SX2 heat race victories, setting up another competitive three-final programme.

However, once the finals began, Davies proved too strong, controlling all three races to secure another clean sweep.

While Davies dominated at the front, the battle for the remaining podium positions was much closer, with Turner and McAdoo fighting through the field across the three finals.

Turner delivered one of his strongest performances of the championship aboard the Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha, finishing 2-2-3 to claim second overall.

McAdoo completed the podium in third for Quad Lock Honda, collecting enough points to retain the AUSX SX2 Championship lead.

However, Davies has now reduced the gap to just two points, with McAdoo leading on 152 ahead of Davies on 150.

Turner remains firmly in contention in third with 138 points, just 14 behind McAdoo.

The result sets up a tight championship battle heading into Perth, with Davies carrying the momentum of six consecutive final victories across Auckland and Geelong.

McAdoo’s consistency has kept him at the top of the standings, but with just two rounds remaining, the SX2 title fight remains wide open.

DEVESON CONTINUES SMX NEXT WINNING STREAK

Jack Deveson continued his impressive form in the SMX Next category, taking another victory in Geelong aboard his Monster Energy WBR Yamaha.

The Australian entered the round following a clean sweep of all three races in Auckland and again proved the rider to beat at GMHBA Stadium.

Deveson secured the overall victory ahead of Jack Nunn, with Riley Burgess completing the podium in third.

His performance continues a strong run of results in the development category as the championship moves towards its final two rounds.

VERHOEVEN BEATS BOHANNON IN SX85 FUTURES

The SX85 Futures category produced one of the closest battles of the Geelong event, with KTM rider Nico Verhoeven and Yamaha’s Blake Bohannon fighting for the victory.

The pair traded positions throughout an intense contest, but Verhoeven eventually secured the win ahead of Bohannon.

Husqvarna-mounted Maxi Harris finished third to complete the podium.

The result was another strong performance from Bohannon, who continues to establish himself among Australia’s leading junior motocross and supercross competitors.

PERTH NEXT AS CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHT INTENSIFIES

The Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship now heads to HBF Park in Perth for the fourth and penultimate round on November 14.

Craig will enter the event with a 32-point lead in SX1, while McAdoo holds just a two-point advantage over Davies in SX2.

Roczen’s consecutive SX1 victories have strengthened his championship position, but Craig’s consistency across the opening three rounds has given him a substantial points buffer.

In SX2, Davies has established himself as the fastest rider over the past two rounds, while McAdoo and Turner remain within striking distance in the championship standings.

With only Perth and the Newcastle finale remaining, the next round will be critical in determining who heads into the final event with the advantage in both championship classes.
