Sunraysia Safari Rally Course Confirmed | Latest

Organisers of the 2017 Sunraysia Safari Rally have confirmed the four-day rally will have 16 competitive stages with a competitive distance of just over 1230kms.

The event length is just over 2375 kms in total (including transport sections) and the moto\quad competitors will have a maximum distance between refuels of 150kms. According to race officials, on several occasions that 150kms will be at competitive speeds, so make sure you have enough range in your tank to run flat out for 150kms.

Servicing will be limited to one “lunch time” service, so service crews have limited distance to travel, and it will all be on good shire roads, the vast majority being bitumen. A full fuel matrix will be provided shortly to competitors so they can begin planning.

Event Director, Troy Bennett;
The actual course design is something I’m very proud of; we’ve worked long and hard to bring you the best possible stages we could put together.

It’s a great mix of Driver’s roads, with some technical sections in between to test your navigation! It’s by no means a “car breaker”, but by the same token you’ll need to treat the tracks with respect, or they might bite back!

It’s designed to entertain current competitors, as well as get new competitors addicted to Cross Country Rallying!

Of course, the proof of the pudding is in the eating as they say, so the only way you’ll know for sure is to get your entry in, and be on the start line on August 16!

The four-day rally will run August 16-19 starting from Mildura, Victoria. The event will start and finish from the Golden River Holiday Park in Mildura each day.
