Triumph Factory Racing’s MX2 squad received a hero’s welcome at the British manufacturer’s Hinckley factory following a dominant 2026 FIM MX2 Motocross World Championship season.
Around 680 Triumph employees were on hand as newly crowned World Champion Guillem Farres and teammate Camden McLellan arrived aboard their factory TF 250-X machines, just days after returning from the season-ending Australian Grand Prix.
Farres secured the MX2 World Championship ahead of McLellan, giving Triumph a 1-2 in the final standings while also delivering the FIM MX2 Manufacturers’ Championship.
The result is particularly significant for Triumph, which only entered the MX2 World Championship and off-road motorcycle market three years ago. It also marks the first Motocross World Championship won by a British manufacturer since 1965.
Farres and McLellan combined to win 11 of the season’s 19 Grands Prix and 21 individual motos. The pair amassed 26 podium finishes between them, including eight double podiums and four 1-2 finishes, with at least one Triumph rider on the podium at all but one GP during the season.
“It was really special to come to Hinckley and celebrate this championship with everyone at Triumph,” Farres said. “We’ve worked incredibly hard all season, and to finish the year as MX2 World Champion, with Camden second and Triumph winning the Manufacturers’ Championship, makes it even more special.”
As part of the celebrations, Farres was presented with a special certificate and shown where his championship-winning TF 250-X will be displayed in the Triumph Factory Visitor Experience. His name will also be added to Triumph’s Walk of Legends.
McLellan will remain in MX2 for 2027 as he targets his first world championship, while Farres will graduate to the MXGP class aboard the TF 450-X alongside returning Triumph rider Mikkel Haarup.
Before preparations for 2027 begin, Triumph Factory Racing will head to Ernée, France, for the FIM Motocross of Nations.
