Triumph motorcycles featured in all three World Trophy podium teams at the 2026 6DAYS FIM Enduro of Nations in Portugal, with Morgan Lesiardo helping Italy claim victory, Leo Joyon finishing second with France and Mikael Persson securing third with Sweden.

Triumph was the only manufacturer represented in all three World Trophy podium teams at the centenary event, which concluded with the traditional Final Cross Test on the beach at Sines.

Following a successful 2026 EnduroGP campaign, where he finished runner-up in both the Junior and Junior1 championships, Joyon stepped up to represent France in the senior World Trophy competition.

Riding his Triumph TF 250-E, Joyon recorded his best daily result of 10th overall on the opening day before going on to finish 15th outright and sixth in Enduro1, helping France secure second overall.

“We’ve just finished the final motocross and, honestly, I really enjoyed it. It was a lot of fun and I’m happy with my riding today, as well as the rest of the week. I finished second overall with Team France, which is a great result, so I’m really pleased with how the 6DAYS has gone. Now it’s time to focus on the final round of the French championship, and then it’s on to next year,” said Joyon.

For Persson, the event marked his return to international competition after missing the entire 2026 EnduroGP season through injury.

Despite limited racing time, the Swede completed all six days, recording his best daily result of 16th on Day Four. He eventually finished 22nd outright and eighth in Enduro1, helping Sweden claim third in the World Trophy.

Persson crashed shortly after the start of the final motocross test but recovered to finish the event.

“We fought all the way to the end and came away with a good result overall. I’m happy with what Team Sweden achieved here at the 6DAYS and for me to come back from injury and finish this event on the podium is amazing,” said Persson.

It was a different story for Triumph Factory Racing’s third rider, Jamie McCanney, who represented Great Britain. McCanney opened the event with 19th on the first test but suffered a technical problem on Day Two that ended his race prematurely.

Meanwhile, JET Triumph Zanardo rider Morgan Lesiardo was the highest-placed Triumph competitor, finishing fifth outright and second in Enduro1 behind Josep García.

Lesiardo also helped Italy secure its second consecutive World Trophy victory alongside Andrea Verona, Samuele Bernardini and Matteo Cavallo.

Triumph Factory Racing Enduro Team Manager Paul Edmondson praised Joyon and Persson’s performances but acknowledged McCanney’s retirement.

“Overall, this year’s 6DAYS was certainly a challenge for both the riders and their machines. However, seeing Leo and Miki help their respective teams to second and third place finishes is a fantastic achievement. For Miki, this was also his first major event back after a serious injury, so I know everyone is especially happy for him and what he’s achieved.”

Triumph’s Head of Global Racing Programmes, Ian Kimber, said having riders in all three World Trophy podium teams was a significant result for the manufacturer, particularly with Persson returning from injury and Joyon stepping up from the Junior ranks.

Despite McCanney’s retirement, Triumph Factory Racing finished ninth in the Manufacturers’ Team Award, while Red Bull KTM took victory ahead of TM MOTO Boano Factory and Honda Racing.

The 2027 6DAYS FIM Enduro of Nations will take place in Wales, Great Britain, from 13–18 September, giving Triumph a home event next year.
