Troy Carroll Welcomed into Australian Supercross Championship Hall of Fame | Latest

Troy Carroll was inducted into the Australian Supercross Championship Hall of Fame at round 2 of the 2016 Australian Supercross Championship in Toowoomba

A total of 12 Championship titles in his adult racing career qualified Troy for the prestigious Hall of Fame status.

“It means a great deal and it’s a great achievement. It’s the last tick on your racing career and I’m proud to be standing next to the other gladiators of the sport who have also reached this level,” commented Troy.

“I started racing through dad because he used to ride himself and all I wanted to do was race from there. During my early years I won 12 junior motocross championships and I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to go pro once I hit 16 years of age,” said Troy who solidified himself as an Australian motorsport legend after claiming 6 motocross and 6 supercross titles in his adult racing career which spanned from 1996, when he took out his first ever Supercross Championship at 16 years of age, until his last open MX1 championship title in 2005. Troy’s final competitive race was on a Kawasaki KX450F in 2009.

Troy was handed a plaque during the evening to symbolise his accomplishment and the ceremony was topped off by Troy riding laps around the outside of the Toowoomba Supercross circuit aboard a 2017 factory National Pump Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team KX450F, adorned with his racing number.
