Weston Peick injury update – First post since accident | News

Weston Peick has posted on Instagram for the first time since his horrific crash at Paris Supercross which left him with over 10 fractures throughout his face.

UPDATE FROM WESTON’S ROAD TO RECOVERY PAGE – Two weeks post injury and three surgeries later, Weston Peick is set for a release from the Paris hospital this Monday, December 3rd. He has been cleared to fly back home and is booked on the first flight to California on Tuesday morning.

Doctors removed his tracheostomy and feeding tube earlier this week after his 3rd surgery. His latest surgery performed added three facial plates; one to readjust the jaw, one tooth plate to keep everything in place, and one more plate was added below his right eye to help with vision. Peick is recovering nicely and was up walking quickly after surgery.

His recovery will be a long one with at least one more surgery schedule for his nose and will be required to see a eye specialist once he’s back in California. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Well this has been one hell of a injury I can’t even explain how much suffering has gone on over the past 2 weeks. I had well over 10 fractures throughout my face 3 surgeries. But it’s finally turning for the better I’m walking around slowly and getting my body moving again, I’ll be flying back home to the states Tuesday. Huge shoutout to @road2recovery and everyone that has made donations to help support this long positive journey to getting back on the bike. I can’t thank my family and friends enough for their prayers and positive thoughts. Big thanks to all of the people here in France that have made my stay easier and more suitable for my family.
