WHERE TO RIDE | COSY CREEK CIRCUIT | Where to Ride

The home of Manjimup 15000, we take a closer look at the Cosy Creek Circuit in West Australia and all it has to offer.

Located in the Southern Forest Region, Cosy Creek is the proud home of the Manjimup Motorcycle Club (MMCC), established in 1949. Situated 307 kilometres south of Perth, Cosy Creek gained international fame with the annual Manjimup 15000 event, launched in 1980 during the long weekend in June. The event’s name reflects the original prize sum of $15000, marking it a premier event that continues to attract riders and spectators worldwide.

Under the guidance of a vibrant, young committee, MMCC is committed to revitalizing its legacy by hosting high-calibre events. The club was honoured as the WAMX Senior Host Club in 2018, following its exceptional management of the Double Header Opening round of the WAMX State Championships.

MMCC’s season is packed with six club runs, the South West Interclub Series, the Manjimup 15000, Double Header Junior & Senior WAMX State Championships, and the annual memorial event, R1DE 4 ROO. The Cosy Creek circuit, site of the inaugural Manjimup 15000, hosted what was once the richest motocross event in Australia.

In 2009, after a brief hiatus, Dirt High Promotions proposed a revival of the event, and the MMCC agreed to resume it. A decade later, the Manjimup 15000 remains the largest motocross event in Australia. It features a dynamic mix of international, national, and state riders, providing a unique opportunity for fans to witness some of the world’s best talents on an exciting, fast-paced track. There truly is no place like Manjimup for the legendary 15000.

The Cosy Creek track is celebrated for its meticulously groomed surfaces that cater to a variety of motocross events and skill levels. The facility is equipped with multiple tracks, food and drink options, accommodation, a viewing area, BBQ zones, camping facilities, showers, powered sites, a water system, toilets, and a workshop, ensuring a comprehensive and enjoyable experience for both riders and spectators.
