The level of professionalism in the national Australian motocross and supercross championships is up there with any series around the world. The big teams don’t hold back on things like race equipment, personnel, support staff and especially technology. We have always been curious as to how they communicate so clearly with all members of their team so we took a closer look at what the Factory Honda Racing team do when it comes to communication. Turns out those headphones they wear are more than just a basic radio with headset.
AceComms just recently announced a partnership with Honda Racing Corporation as the official two-way radio communications supplier. This deal provides Honda with a permanent and reliable two-way radio partner in an industry where communication across team members is critical.
Factory Honda Racing is set to leverage a range of Motorola radio comms products, handpicked for their reliability in a fast-paced environment. This deal covers all major off-road events, including Australia MX, Australia SX, and World SX. Director of Honda Racing Australia, Yarrive Konsky stated “We have no time for interference. Clear and precise communication can be the difference between winning and losing”.
The final round held at the Coolum MX Track for the last time on the weekend saw Honda Racing Australia’s Wilson Todd #1 take the 2023 Pirelli MX2 Championship title aboard his CFR250R. This gives Todd his 10th championship win, 4th in this class. We will now see him move onto Australian Supercross which kicks off in Adelaide in October. The Honda team also took another five top 4 finishes.
The partnership between AceComms and Factory Honda Racing Australia is more than just a collaboration; it’s a coming together of both innovation and precision, combining racing technology with the best in radio comms ingenuity. AceComms General Manager, Jason Jaski stated “For a business that started 20 years ago out of a garage, it’s amazing to see how far AceComms has come, and partnering with Honda Australia further cements our foothold within the radio comms industry”.
AceComms launched in Australia in 2003, and is Australia’s number one Motorola Solutions distributor, with 150+ dealers nationwide.
