Wil Ruprecht second at EnduroGP of Germany | News

Yamaha rider Wil Ruprecht put in a dominant performance at the opening round of the FIM EnduroGP World Championship, finishing third and second over the two days.

The Enduro Junior 1 class rider finished third on Day 1, behind rivals Andrea VERONA (TM) and Theo ESPINASSE (Sherco). Ruprecht was close to claiming the top-step on Day 2 but couldn’t hold off the charging Andrea VERONA in the final test of the day and had to settle for second.

The 20-year-old’s 3-2 scorecard saw him finish second for the round, putting him second in the Junior 1 Championship points standings.

“I don’t know what to say to you, I am so disappointed, I cracked under the pressure, I crashed three times on the last test,” said Ruprecht after the event. “Andrea was the better man and he deserves it. I can only try to learn and improve after such a defeat.”
