This capable twin-cylinder long-distance adventure bike has been designed to take a rider across vast, on and off-road, in comfort.
Equipped with a twin-cylinder 1199cc engine tuned for low-end torque and instant roll-on acceleration, a rubber damped clutch helps produce a smooth riding experience, so too does the maintenance-free shaft drive and comfortable ergonomics.
Electronically adjustable suspension allows suspension adjustments on the move. A wide range of settings is available via the easy-to-operate handlebar-mounted multi-function switch. Heated grips, touring screen, cruise control, and adjustable seat make the cockpit of the Super Ténéré a pleasant place to be on long trips.
Two engine mapping options are on call via the D-Mode system. The T mode (Touring) delivers an easy running character, while S mode (Sport) offers increased performance. A three-stage traction control system – including deactivation – provides the right amount of grip in all situations, while the ride-by-wire Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) ensures optimal throttle response. Other key features include tough spoked aluminium wheels with tubeless tyres, comfortable pillion grab bars, 12V charging socket, LCD instrument panel, top box carrier, and centre stand.
