The GYTR Yamaha Junior Racing Team cleaned up at the 2025 Australian Junior Motocross Championships in Gillman, South Australia, claiming three national titles, a runner-up, and two third-place finishes in a powerhouse performance. Leading the charge was Yamaha rider Heath Davy, who captured the 13-U15 Years 250cc Championship and finished second in the 125cc 13-U15 Years category at the 2025 AJMX. Davy dominated early, winning the first three motos before securing the overall title with a smart, consistent finish.

“What a week,” said Davy. “I really wanted to win both championships and put in a lot of work for this event, but I came up just short. I’m stoked to take the 250 title and second on the 125. I can’t thank my family and the Yamaha Junior Racing Team enough.”

Kye Sproule also impressed, bagging the 85cc 9-U11 Years Championship and a third overall in the 65cc 10-U12 Years. After early dominance on his YZ65, a few costly mistakes saw him slip from the lead, but he bounced back spectacularly on his YZ85, winning the championship despite nearly missing the finals.

“I’m so stoked to win the 85 class,” said Sproule. “I didn’t even think I’d qualify, so to go on and take the championship was unreal.”

Meanwhile, Eliza Dennis stunned the paddock with a display of pure toughness, winning the Girls 85cc Championshipwhile unknowingly racing with a broken collarbone. After crashing twice on day one, she pushed through the pain to win the title.

“I found out it was broken, but I could still hang onto the bike, so I just kept going,” Dennis explained. “It hurt a bit, but I wanted to finish what I started.”

Jobe Dunne powered to third in the 13-U15 Years 250cc class, sealing the result with a final-race win, while Lachlan Allen returned from injury to post strong results in both the 125cc and 250cc 15 Years divisions before mechanical issues ended his podium chances.

Deegan Fort battled to fifth in the 85cc 14-U15 Years class, continuing to rebuild from earlier injuries, and Marcus Nowland made a strong motocross cameo, finishing 10th in a stacked 40-rider final.

Kiwi rider Hayden Draper added to the Yamaha tally with second in the 250cc 15 Years Championship, showing blistering speed all week.

“Yamaha congratulates Heath Davy, Eliza Dennis, and Kye Sproule on their respective class wins,” said Yamaha Motorsport Manager Scott Bishop. “The whole team can be proud—they were all in contention for titles, and their results reflect their hard work and dedication.”

Bishop also thanked Darren Thompson for his management and the Monster Energy WBR Yamaha Team for assisting the junior riders and families throughout the event.
